  • 1 pound ground breakfast pork Substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter flavor.
  • 3 oz cream cheese Use full-fat for best texture.
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream Full-fat version preferred.
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock Vegetable stock can be used as a substitute.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Brown the sausage over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Remove the sausage from the pan, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
  3. Whisk in the cream cheese, heavy cream, and chicken stock into the hot fat over medium heat.
  4. Cook until the gravy has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the browned sausage back into the gravy and stir to combine.

Notes

Serve over cauliflower mash, shirred eggs, or keto biscuits for a classic feel. Garnish with chopped chives or black pepper. Keep portions moderate as the sauce is rich.
