Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup medjool dates, pitted Use high-quality Medjool dates for best results.
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter Can substitute with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels Use gluten-free pretzels if needed.
Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Vegan-friendly.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Used for melting with chocolate.
  • a pinch salt Optional, for enhancing flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in the crushed pretzels, mixing well.
  3. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and spread the date-peanut butter mixture evenly.
  4. Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set.
Chocolate Coating
  1. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler.
  2. Once the date bars are set, remove from the freezer and cut into bars.
  3. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate to coat and place back on parchment paper.
  4. Allow to cool until the chocolate hardens, then enjoy!

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container. They are best kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
