Ingredients
  

For the onion rings
  • 2 large onions Yellow or sweet onions work best
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese Can substitute with different cheeses for variation
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs For the egg wash
  • as needed spray oil spray For baking

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the onions into rings.
  3. In a bowl, mix the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  5. Dip each onion ring into the egg mixture, then coat with the cheese mixture.
  6. Place the coated rings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with oil.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.

Notes

For added flavor, adjust the spices in the coating mixture or try using different types of cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
